Welcome to the G.A.S.R.P.C

Thank you for visiting our website.

Important news for all shooters.

The GASRPC feels it is important that the following items are brought to the attention of your club members for their consideration:

The first of these is a consultation relating to Air Rifles; the second is about “offensive weapons”: “….moving two firearms (.50 calibre and certain rapid firing rifles) from the general licensing arrangements to the stricter provisions of section 5 of the Firearms Act 1968…” (at this stage it is not immediately clear as to what “rapid firing” might include).

We would encourage clubs and individuals to respond promptly to the above consultations for the benefit of both themselves and of the wider shooting community.

The Gloucestershire Association of Small-bore Rifle & Pistol Clubs is affiliated to The National Small-bore Rifle Association and is a UK based charity that encourages, promotes and fosters a healthy recreational interest in the sport of small-bore rifle, air rifle and air pistol shooting in the UK.

We are here to help develop those that wish to improve their skills in these disciplines by providing instruction and practice in ranges throughout the County and to encourage new people to take up the sport.  If anyone is interested in trying something new, visit our Affiliated Clubs page to find a club near you!

The Association has an outdoor 50 metre Small-bore Range in Gloucester, known as Sneedhams Green County Range.  The range is certified for use with up to .44 pistol calibre rounds (subject to the conditions set out in the Range Orders and Safety Certificate) and all affiliated club members are free to use the range, but please look on our Calendar of Events first, to make sure you don’t have a wasted journey.

Range Availability: Visitors to the range should note that the range is closed until 1100 each Monday morning and all day on the third Sunday of each month when range maintenance is carried out. The range is used exclusively for field crossbow and archery on Thursday evenings (from 1900) throughout the year.

Parking: All visitors to the range must use the grassed lower parking area. Access to the range is via steps adjacent to the firing point. The upper parking area is for the use of Glevum TSC members only.

Please have a look around our website. We hope you find everything you are looking for but please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any calendar events to add, any queries or recommendations to help us improve the site.
